Simply put, wherever you need us to be, we’re here to help you.

Our number one priority here at TALOS is client satisfaction. We know that due to the aggressive deadlines typical in the engineering industry, our clients often require spur-of-the-moment support. If this means working remote through the night or flying across the country to be on site the next day, TALOS will do what we can to accommodate the needs of our clients.

All employees at TALOS have highly technical skills that produce successful, quick-turn solutions for our clients. What makes TALOS employees unique is their passion for all things technical and engineering. When not at work, you’ll typically find a TALOS employee designing and building projects of their own such as home automation systems, chemical vapor deposition systems, or aerial photography drones. In addition to regularly applying their practical knowledge outside of work, most TALOS employees have worked to expand their theoretical knowledge of engineering by pursuing advanced engineering degrees.

TALOS Leadership

John Cox - President/Lead Engineer

John is the founder and technical lead of TALOS.  With 35 years of experience in hardware and software design, specifically embedded systems, John is the center of the company.  He is  skilled with LabVIEW, TestStand, digital and analog circuit design, PCB layout and industrial design.  Having designed over 14 ATE and embedded systems, he brings a wealth of experience to the team.  Fascinated with pinball machines since childhood, he collects and restores vintage (Gottlieb) EM pins.  His collection includes 11 machines, including his favorite "Jacks to Open" (1977).

David Standiford - Project Manager

David loves all things technical.  In addition to being a super electronics nerd, he is also a skilled machinist (he really likes designing, machining and building high pressure epicycloidal compressors).  He is skilled with SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, DipTrace, Altium Designer, Eagle, Keysight ADS and holds a General Class Radio License.  David also pulls double duty.  His attention to detail provides much needed organization to the office.  As office manager he handles purchasing, payments and receiving. He is also the administrator for our cloud based accounting, time tracking and document control.

Trey is our mascot. He loves tennis balls and water.  A typical Lab - he's always happy to see you. When visiting our office, you might want to bring a treat. If you forget, a belly rub is a good substitute.
